K.I. Kampen bull Weinterper Solution (Finder * Guard) is an outstanding bull. Solution daughters produce a lot of milk (+1492 kgm, +0.13 fat and 0.10 protein). This milk comes from very healthy udders (108), the daughters are still above average for fertility (103) and last long (+719 production days). Beside that he gives traits that are in high demand in the population. Rear legs side view are a little curved (102), the teats of the daughters are a little longer (102) and the chest with is a little wider (103). Farmers are very happy with the daughters. They easily walk around on good feet and legs, produce lots and don’t need any attention. Solution gives what the modern dairy famer wants. On top of this all he is A2A2 for beta cassein and BB for kappa cassein. He is a true leader in the NVI ranking.
An other very interesting new bull is Poppe Red Hot Neymar (Board * Snow). He produces a nice amout of milk (+790 kgm) with very high components (+0.29 fat and + 0.22 protein). His daughters show super management traits too. His breeding value for udder health is 105 and for daughter fertility he is 103. Neymar is suitable for heifers and is A2A2 beta cassein.
bull that was used a lot by K.I. Kampen customers all over the world is Vandenberg Sneaker (Chuck * Borussia). He is a very balanced bull with a good production (+432 with +0.28 fat and +0.20 protein). His daughters are allround without mistakes. They are a little lower in stature (96) with enough chest width (102) and a super condition (107). With aAa 531 and A2A2 for beta cassein he is a bull that perfectly fits on the modern Holstein cow. He is very popular in grazing countries like Ireland and New Zealand.
Red and White
In Red and White Caps Angelo (Riverboy * Fageno) remains of a very special level. His index goes up with another 200 daughters in his index. He is positive for all production traits (+793 kgm, +0.44 fat and +0.06 protein). His daughters easily produce this which is shown in breeding values like body condtion score (102), udder health (108) and daughter fertility (102). The type score is allround without any mistakes. Angelo is suitable for heifers and has A2A2 for beta cassein. There is no doubt he will remain very popular.
Gansey’s Antartica (Stellando * Dakker) has a very promising first daughter proof. This very great looking and performing bull with an interesting aAa (5436) starts with a good production in his daughters ( +329 kgm, 0.29 fat and 0.14 protein). The daughters are allround without any mistakes. Some traits he has are in high demand. Teat length is 108 and feet and legs are 106. With being A2A2 for beta cassein and BB for Kappa cassein, the demand for Antartica will be very high.
A bull that might not be the highest in index, but got very good reviews of farmers and colleagues, is Red Carna (Carnival * Kodak). His daughers produce a nice amount (+490 kgm with 0.22 fat and 0.15 protein). But where he distinguishes himself from other bulls is his chestwidth (109), body condition score (109) and his longer than average teats (106). He is a super correction bull for cows that are too sharp and too frail. Being A2A2 for beta cassein and suitable for heifers, makes this bull a very interesting one for the commercial dairy farmer.
Other breeds
Our Belgian blue program for beef on dairy remains very succesful. The older bulls keep their very intreresting breeding values. Berend is still 132 calving ease, which is among the highes in the breed. Stoevelaar Frits increases his index with one point. He is 126 calving ease now.
K.I. Kampen for years test the most Friesian bulls in the Netherlands. The indexes show again a very succesul run for K.I. Kampen bulls. K.I. Kampen are number 1, 2 and 3.
