Genomics test bull Fresh will produce typical K.I. Kampen cows!
Westenrade Fresh (Boreso x Finder, aAa 432, A2A2) comes from the Annie family. A unique cowfamily with beautiful animals and high components. Dam of Fresh, Annie 74 (AB87), has produced 55,165 kg of milk with 5.41% fat and 4.14% protein in four lactations. She is a classy cow, with a slightly flat rump and a phenomenally strong udder. She has excellent legs. Her dam, Westenrade Annie 167 (VG88), has produced six lactations with lots of milk and high components. Her sire is Westenrade Altaspring, a frequently used bull who has more than earned his stripes in Holstein breeding. A generation later, we see Westenrade Annie 156, a VG87 Goldday daughter with over 119,000 kilograms of milk in her life so far.
Fresh is sired by Boreso (Rioaveso x Floris). He appears to produce well-balanced daughters with excellent production. He also scores very well for health traits: udder health, fertility and claw health, and persistence are far above average.
Westenrade Fresh is a nicely growing, young bull. He has slightly sickled legs and a beautiful and a wide chest. His genomics report indicates that he combines a good milk yield with high components. He will also tall, strong, wide cows with excellent udders. His genomics show plusses for all production traits. Fresh is a typical K.I. Kampen bull in every respect.
