Cow families remain leading in the selection at K.I. Kampen. A cow that comes back in various K.I. Kampen bulls is Caudumer Lol 342 (AB89, Rocky x Lawn Boy P). She is:

- The dam of Caudumer Airport P
- The granddam of Caudumer Lewis PP, Caudumer Logan PP and Caudumer Pollux P
- The great-granddam of Caudumer Budweiser, Caudumer Hylke PP and Caudumer Sietze PP

She recently completed the 100,000 kilograms of milk and she is still in perfect condition. "In a year and a half, she will also have the 10,000 kilos of fat and protein full." Said an enthusiastic Sietze Henk Haytema of Caudumer Holsteins.

Sietze Henk Haytema is very pleased with the performance and offspring of the full black Lol 342: "She is late maturing, persistent, robust and gives high components. Many of her daughters give above 5% fat and 4% protein. She is a muscled, heavy cow and you can never see her high production in her condition. Even if she gives 50 liters, she never loses fitness." Sietze Henk has sold many calves and embryos from Lol 342. He also kept quite a few himself. At the moment, the fifth generation after her is being flushed in Koudum.

The cowfamily performs impressively over several generations. Dam Lol 292 (VG87) stranded on 50,000 liters. Many daughters and granddaughters of Lol 342 are also still doing well in Koudum without any problems. Daughter Caudumer Lol 345 (s. Jacuzzi, VG88) is the dam of Lewis PP and Logan PP. The dams of Sietze PP and Hylke PP are full sisters from the Rambo PP flush of Lol 345. They are both still there and are both in calf. "The dam of Hylke PP (VG87) has very nice conformation. Sietze PP's dam (VG86) is a strong, robust cow with a lot of condition. They also do unobtrusively well in the barn."

Lol 345 also got the Abundant P Rf daughter Lol 505 (VG86). She is the dam of Budweiser (s. Mask). "She is a second calver and is doing great. She is a lower in stature, very heavy cow with a lot of condition. Her legs are superb. Budweiser has a full sister who got VG85 as a heifer and is also doing well." Says an enthusiastic Sietze Henk.

Back to 100,000 liters of cow Lol 342. She is in calf and she calves in October. "With these components, she will also complete the 10,000 in the next lactation. That, of course, is how every livestock farmer likes to see it." This is how Sietze concludes Henk. Photo: Caudumer Lol 342 is still looking like a young cow despite its high lifetime production!
