Genomics test bull Sebas is going to give cows that want to produce
Genomic breeding values are becoming more and more reliable. A bull with high genomic breeding value from a well-known, reliable cow family is Wideview Sebas (Milan x Dolmen, aAa 243, A2A2).
OCD Milan (Monteverdi x Parfect) is a very popular bull from the US who scores high on almost all indexes in the world. His first daughters come to milk and confirm the image of a bull that produces very balanced commercial daughters. Paternal grand sire Dolmen adds production, good widths, power and good legs.
Sebas comes from the same cow family as Sunny Boy. The Skalsumer Pietje family has been in the spotlight again in recent years. For example, K.I. Kampen tested Wideview Maikel and Wideview Ace. Sebas's dam, Skalsumer P 3878 (s. Parfect, VG86) stands out because of her enormous will to produce. In the first 305 days, she produced 13,029 kilograms of milk with 4.39% fat and 3.72% protein. She is a proportionally built heifer with a good udder and very good legs. A heifer like the Hemmink family in Geesteren (the Netherlands, breeder of the family and of Sebas) likes to see them, there is still breeding interest in her. Granddam Skalsumer Pietje 1055 (s. Jetset, VG88) still stays strong in the Hemmink family's barn. She has a beautiful frame which shows an fantastic mix between strength and milk type. She combines her lifetime production of 82.446 kg of milk with the extremely high components, namely 4.88% fat and 3.99% protein. She became star cow 1 at the age of nine.

The breeding value of Sebas is high and nicely all-round. A very high milk production brings him to high kilograms of fat and protein. In addition, the management traits are particularly striking. The type score is overall very nice, although the teat length (94) is a point of attention in mating. Sebas is a bull who will produce easy-to-manage cows that are persistent and milk smoothly.
