New B&W genomics test bull: Lots of kg’s fat and protein through high persistency!
A dairyfarmer makes money with producing kgs fat and protein. Over the last few years production per cow has increased. This is the result of better management and genetic improvement. To keep on growing in production per cow, selection is very important. New genomics testbull Eastland Flaggle (Flagstone x Amuse, aAa 435, A2A2) would help. He inherits a lot of kgs fat and protein and the daughters will be very persistent in the lactation.
Of course it all starts with a great cowfamily. Eastland Flaggle comes from the Lead Mae family. Behind Flaggle there is 15 generations at least VG85 and most of them way higher. This cowfamily proofs itself all over the world. At the breeder of Flaggle, the Oosterink family of Eastland Holsteins in Angeren, this family now is called Rusty.
Sire of Flaggle is Flagstone (Topstone x Relevant). His daughters produce a a good amount of milk with high components. Feet and legs are very good. Dam of Flaggle is Eastland Rusty Teardrop (s. Amuse, VG87). She has developed into a strong heavy second calver cow with a solid udder and fantastic feet and legs. She easily produces with average components. Her production is way higher than the average over her herdmates of the same age under the same conditions.
The maternal great granddam of Flaggle is a fantastic cow. She is EX 90 and sired by Adorable. She won her local show in 2022 and in 2025. Her udder is almost perfect and for feet and legs she got EX91 which especially comes from her locomotion. Her lifespan production is starting to get more and more impressive. Till today she producer over 60.000 kgs of milk with an average of 5.13% fat and 3.60% protein.
Eastland Flaggle himself is wide and strong from front till end. He is walking very easy on great feet and legs. He is A2A2 beta casein and his aAa is 435. With 106 rear legs rear view he is a perfect mating for cows that have the hocks (too) close to each other.
