Longer teats, higher milking speed and high components? Miller!
Oelhorst Miller (Flagstone x Renegade aAa 342) is a bull with lots of international topbulls in his pedigree. These bulls were selected on udder, f&l, production and scc by the breeder. And the result is great! Miller is a bull with a very great index who will do a great job for the dairyfarmer.
The Comestar Laurie Sheik family is the base of Miller. This cowfamily is well known for very famous bulls like: Comestar Leader, Comestare Lee, Comestar Stormatic and Comestar Lauthority. A cowfamily that perfectly fits in the breeding strategy of K.I. Kampen.
Dam of Miller is Oelhorst Maud 917. As maiden heifer she was flushed heavily. That was probably the reason she did not get in calf. K.I. Kampen never took a bull from an animal that did not calve. The dam of Miller has four full sisters that perform very great. The breeder of Miller, Bert Luttikhedde, is convinced of this heifers: “They are all superb. They are not tall, have a little bit extra muscle, are all VG and produce fantastic.”
The maternal granddam of Miller, Oelhorst Maud Harmony (s. Harmony, VG87) will calve soon for the fifth time. So far she produced 53.000 kg milk with high components. Her dam is a VG85 Rubicon that produces well.
Miller is an impressive bull. His great proportions, the solid feet and legs and lots of dairy qualities proof he is a top bull. Miller distinguishes himself in his genomics breeding value with traits that are in high demand in the breed. Of course lots of milk with high components are important. Beside that his daughters will be above breed average for fertility and milking speed. Some other traits are interesting too: rear legs side view will be slightly sickled and teats of his daughters will be a little bit longer. The rump structure will be sloping.
