Sandra 1 and Anthurium 100.000-liter cows!
At K.I. Kampen the selection starts with a good cow family. A good cow family shows traits that farmers like to see. A high lifetime production is very important. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that recently two maternal granddams of K.I. Kampen bulls completed the 100.000 kgm lifetime production. This is VDR Sandra 1, (AB 88), granddam of VDR Saul Hudson, VDR Shakespeare, VDR Sting and VDR Stones. Gansey's Anthurium (AB 90), granddam of Gansey's Antartica also reached this milestone. VDR Sandra 1 (Minos x Roumare) received 88 points overall type and also recently became Star cow 1. She is dry and in calf to Euna Master. Owner and breeder Henk Jan van de Riet is very enthusiastic: "Sandra 1 has an incredibly wide head which pops out. She does her own thing and is very intelligent. There were 52 Sandra’s born here. One was sold to CRV and one we couldn't get in calf. The rest are all still here." Her daughter VDR Sandra 2 (S. Malki), the dam of Stones, Shakespeare, Saul Hudson and Sting is performing great as well. "She's got extraordinary high components to go with it and is going to hit a lactation worth this listing that's over 150+. That's pretty special anyway."

Gansey's Anthurium (Destry x Kian), granddam of Antartica also recently passed the 100.000 liter mark. With this she follows in her dam's footsteps; Annet 3348 produced over 100.000 liters in her lifetime and received EX90. Breeder, the Menkveld – De Haan family is very pleased with Anthurium: "The last lactation was her best ever. She had a lactation worth of 122+. She has only gotten better as she became older. "She is in calf to Crown Red. "Antartica's dam, Gansey's Antoinet (S. Dakker), passed the 80.000-liter mark and is in calf again. She is remarkable for not being mentioned." Says a satisfied Rudy Menkveld.

A great story can be written about both cow families. They deliver what farmers want: High lifetime production with a lot of job satisfaction. That is why both cowfamilies are still in the spotlight at K.I. Kampen. K.I. Kampen congratulates the Menkveld-De Haan and Van de Riet families with these bea results. The selection on cowfamilies that do what farmers want will always remain leading at K.I. Kampen.
